DUI arrests in the news by Charles L. Sifers
Tuesday, September 25th, 2007Lots of activity in the DUI arrest world of late . . . .
The head of the Kentucky Alcohol Beverage Control agency, Chris Lilly, was busted last Saturday and blew a .18% on the state’s machine. He says he he’s going to resign his post. My question is, why? The story is here.
Also, actor Keifer Sutherland was arrested early yesterday morning for DUI in Los Angeles. The charge will be a misdemeanor. Apparently, the cop saw him do an illegal u-turn, gave him a field test, and Sutherland tested over the legal limit. From the look of things in the recent past months, a DUI arrest is an occupational hazard for a celebrity. His bail bond was set at $25,000. That’s significantly higher than the charge would be if it had occurred here in Oklahoma. Here the bond would have been no more than $2,000. The story is here.
